Dr. Niranjan Koirala received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry (2016) from Sun Moon University, Republic of Korea and Postdoctoral Research Training at the Instituto de Investigaciones Biomedicas from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico (2017-18). He has been awarded with the best poster and oral presentations at the international conferences and with Nepal Bidhya Bhushan “A” medal from the honorable President of Nepal, Dean’s Choice award by Sun Moon University, South Korea, BRICPL Young Scientist award by Biologix Research and Innovation Center, India to name a few selected ones. He is a member of American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and International Chemical Biology Society and a lifetime member of Biotechnology Society of Nepal. Along with research, he also has experiences in supervising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. He is serving as a peer reviewer in several international journals from Springer and MDPI. He has published more than 15 research articles in reputed indexed journals reaching more than 350 citations according to Google scholar citations and has published 4 patents issued by the Korean Intellectual Patents Office. He is currently working as a post-doctoral fellow with Prof. Hojae Shim at the Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory, University of Macau.
